Detectives and patrol officers have scattered throughout the area surrounding the shooting scene in the 1500 block of Adams Avenue in their search for the shooter, Clark said.
Police told reporters the suspect is believed to be a man in black clothing who fired at a white four-door sedan yards from where eight-months pregnant Doto was sitting and watching over a neighbor’s child late Sunday morning. Clark said a single bullet traveled from the shooting scene and struck Doto in the face.
Investigators have stated multiple times that Doto was not the intended target of the shooting.

The a mother of two children with one on the way moved to the city from Falls Township’s Morrisville section within the past few years and lived with her boyfriend. Doto graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2006.

“It’s very sad and tragic that you have a young lady, 25 years old, in the prime of her life just shot and killed,” Clark said. “It’s even more tragic that it happened to her baby.”
