Scheduled to perform will be The John Sheridan Quartet.

According to organizers, the event is held in memory of Michael Sherlock, husband of council President Nancy Sherlock. Michael lost his battle with lung cancer in July 2012.

Organizers said the idea of the event is for the community to share lifeโ€™s special memories with their loved ones.

The Sherlock family, organizers say, created the foundation as an enduring memory for his love for music. Michael played the saxophone and was a member of the Uptown String Band, a Mummers group based in Hulmeville.

Organizers say its a rain or shine event and that attended should bring rain gear just in case.

โ€œThe foundation serves as an enduring memorial to Mike to share his love for music and to continue his philosophy of enjoying every moment and life itself,” according to the Michael F. Sherlock Foundation.

The family thought it was befitting to create this foundation in order to help promote music in the park and also provide donations to the American Cancer Society,โ€ according to the foundation website.

Donations can be made to the Michael F. Sherlock Foundation, 424 W. Bridge St., Morrisville, PA 19067. For additional information, call 215-295-8181.
