In Bucks County an estimated 17,700 people remain out of work. Young college-age students looking for work for the first time and those unexpectedly put back into the job market after decades of employment found solace in Recruitment Queen’s job fair Tuesday at the Sheraton Hotel in Falls Township.

The fair which began at 10 a.m., according to social media and outreach coordinator Ashley Schultz, saw some 80 people lined up waiting to get in. The line featured people of all age groups, experience and education levels. In total, several hundred people turned out.

Recruitment Queen, according to CEO and President Jennifer Schultz, is truly different than other career search websites in that it appropriately matches a candidates skills to jobs best fit for them and their qualifications. No more blindly sending your resume without little response from employers.
The job fair, which saw numerous businesses in and around Bucks County also provided education to candidates, featuring break out sessions and informative classes on networking, LinkedIn and picking the best healthcare option.

While Recruitment Queen helps those looking for a first time job, or those looking for a better job, Schultz said they specialize in helping those who feel ‘lost’ in unemployment, those who have been out of work for a while and need help heading back into the job market after years of employment.

“Some have been out of work so long,” she said. “Maybe they wrote a resume or went on a job interview years ago but aren’t aware of the new tactics today. They just don’t know where to start.”
