The group, organized by Sirena Thomas, will meet outside Harry S. Truman High School at 5 p.m. The meeting comes the night before school is set to begin.

“At this meeting parents are gathering to discuss the impact of this decision and finalize the presentation to the board on September 8, 2014. We are expecting parents and students to show up at the Board meeting on September 8th in record numbers to advocate for these students,” a statement announcing the event reads.

It is unclear as of Wednesday morning where at Truman the parents will meet. District officials said Tuesday that they were unaware of a parent group meeting in the school.

The end of after school activity buses was first reported on by LevittownNow.com in June when the 2014-2015 district budget was approved.
