State Police on Patrol In Bristol Borough in August.
Pennsylvania State Troopers on patrol in Bristol Borough found a man slumped over in his car last week, state police reported.
Problem was after speaking with Anthony Dwornitski, 27, of Bristol, and investigating further the man was taken into custody for drug possession, receiving stolen property, possessing an instrument of crime with intent, criminal mischief, and related summary offense.

Allegedly the would-be thief fell asleep during his venture of midnight auto parts ripoff because he was under the influence of a powerful anti -anxiety medication.
State police on roving patrols observed a black Nissan Xterra parked in the driveway of STS Tire and Auto in Bristol’s Commerce Park with its tail lights on, according to court papers. Authorities noted at the time, 3 a.m., the business was closed.
Dwornitski found unconscious was awakened by the patrolling trooper and was unable to explain why he was at the location or how he got there, according to court documents.

Dwornitski, according to court papers, said he had taken some Xanax earlier in the day, as a way of explaining his lack of memory.
State police noticed the defendants hands were smeared with grease and dirt, court records show. The dirt hands lead state troopers to investigate the man further.

According to the probable cause affidavit, authorities observed a yellow car hood, two headlights, and a plastic grill in the back of the suspect’s vehicle. During subsequent search of the tire and auto shops premises, the trooper wrote in court papers, a yellow Nissan Xterra parked near where police found Dwornitsk was missing the aforementioned parts and had additional damages rounding out to be valued at roughly $1,500.
Authorities arrested Dwornitsk and transported him to the Trevose Barracks for processing and released him shortly after, according to court documents.
State police conducted two follow up interviews with the owner of the vehicle and tire shop over the following days, court records show. The owner of the yellow Xterra told police he had left his car at the shop so it could be worked and further states he did not know the suspect, according to police.

The owner of the auto shop told police when he last saw the vehicle on August 16 it did not have any of the damage that was now visible to it nor did Dwornitsk have permission of any kind to access the parked vehicle.
Dwornitski is scheduled to appear in Bristol Borough District Court on October 22 to answer charges filed by State Police.
