Woman Remains in Critical Condition After Mill Creek Parkway Crash


The 55-year-old wife of a Levittown firefighter remained in critical condition Wednesday following a serious two-vehicle wreck that happened Tuesday afternoon.

The woman, a resident of Bristol Township, was attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Mill Creek Parkway from Oaktree Drive in a Toyota Prius when she was involved in a crash with a Dodge pickup truck driven by a 52-year-old Fairless Hills, authorities said. The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Levittown Fire Co. No. 2 Chief Ralph Gumbert said the woman that was most seriously injured had to be freed by firefighters from the Edgely, Fairless Hills and Levittown Fire No. 2 fire companies.

The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad transported both drivers to the hospital. The 52-year-old man was treated and released from St. Mary Medical Center on Tuesday night.

Both directions of travel on Mill Creek Parkway were closed in the area of the crash until around 7 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
