The board first approved the purchase of a 2015 Ford F350 pickup truck. The new truck would replace an old Ford Expedition, which, according to Wendel, โcan no longer be inspected.โ The pickup truck will cost $26,960.43.
In the same vote, the board approved the purchase of a new snowplow and accessories totaling the amount of $7,255.
The Public Works department also received approval for new parts, not just new vehicles. The board also approved the purchase of a dump truck chassis for $78,969.00, ย from Bucks Country International inc. The purchase of a dump body, snowplow, spreader and accessories were approved for purchase from H.A. DeHart and Son in the amount of $58,451.00. The total amount of purchase is $137,420.00.

โThis winter was pretty rough, on a few of our vehicles,โ Wendel told the board. โWe need a truck for this winter. Public works has two dump trucks, [but] as of this past winter, are past fixing.โ
