The trooper noted in court papers that Beck appeared “nervous” and his hands were shaking when he approached. From there, the 34-year-old had trouble telling the law enforcement official where exactly he was coming from in his Honda Civic, state police said.

The trooper cut Beck a break and wrote him a written warning for the speed violation and sent the Bristol Township man on his way, according to court papers.

According to state police, Beck blew his chance and kept talking with the trooper. The trooper wrote in court papers that a bag containing heroin fell from Beck’s shorts during the encounter.

A preliminary test showed the bag tested positive for heroin, court papers say.

Beck reportedly told the trooper he had just bought the heroin in Philadelphia.
