The Bristol Township man accused of hiding 139 bags of heroin inside his mother’s house waived his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday in district court.
Martin Furey Jr., 24, of the Levittown section of the township, was arrested in late April after narcotics officers conducted a search warrant on the Meadow Lane home he lives in.

According to court papers, Furey ran into his mother’s bedroom when police came to the house. He told officers his mother had nothing to do with the drugs and stated, “I’m sorry, mom.”
Police found heroin and a change bank in a bedroom, according to court papers.
The heroin packets were stamped with the brand name of “Viper” and their street value was about $1,400, police said.

The 24-year-old reportedly said he snorted 20 bags of heroin a day and sold the drugs to pay for his own habit.
Furey’s mother told investigators she knew her son sold heroin and asked him to stop several times, court papers say.

Furey is charged with numerous drug offenses and remains in county jail unable to post bail.
