Middletown Holding 3rd Annual July 4th Parade


Fourth of July will be celebrated in Middletown Township with a parade.

The township will be holding their third annual Fourth of July Parade Friday starting around 9 a.m. The festivities will kick off at Veterans Memorial Park at 700 Veterans Highway in Levittown.

Here’s what the township says the parade will feature:

The Old Barracks Fife & Drum Corps, Uptown String Band, the Tri-County Band, the Bux-Mont Squires, Big Whiskey, Damage Control, Under the Radar & the Mango Men will provide music for the big parade.  Girl Scouts & Cub Scouts, sports teams, fire companies, ambulance & rescue squads, police departments, veterans, military vehicles, antique cars, stilt walkers, families and kids in wagons and patriotically decorated floats will be part of more than 55 units marching.

Township police warned  Veterans Highway between East Lincoln Highway and Trenton Road and Trenton Road between Veterans Highway and the MAA baseball fields will be closed during the parade. They added the parade will last about an hour.
