A man told a responding police officer Lewis, a man he knew from visiting a local homeless camp, attacked him while he was on his bicycle.
“The victim stated he and Lewis was riding their bikes on Veterans Highway southbound on the shoulder when Lewis for an unknown reason approached him and pushed him off his bicycle,” an affidavit of probable cause reads.
After being pushed off the bicycle, Lewis picked him up from the ground by his legs and dropped him to the pavement, according to court papers. The officer noted the man struck his head on the ground and was knocked unconscious until passing motorists assisted him off the road and onto the sidewalk.

Lewis lied about his name at first and then was arrested, police said. A search of a database showed an officer Lewis was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a child support matter.
The Lower Bucks Rescue Squad arrived and took the injured man to Aria Hospital’s Frankford-Torresdale as a trauma patient. Police said the man suffered from lacerations to his head and also serious neck and back pain.
