Police in 2 Towns Investigate Air Conditioner Thefts

Police in Falls and Middletown townships are investigating a series of thefts related to air conditioners.

The incidents involve both the theft of full air conditioning units and theft of copper from the units.

Here’s a list of recent thefts, according to police reports:

  • Between May 14 and May 18: A $7,000 air conditioner was stolen from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Woodbourne Road in Middletown.
  •  Overnight, June 19: A center air conditioner unit was stolen from the rear of the closed St. Francis Cabrini School at 10 Goble Court in Falls. The total value of the unit was $4,000.
  • Between June 20 and 23: Copper from the central air conditioner unit at the Pennsbury Professional Center at 201 Woolston Drive was stolen.
  • Between June 20 and 23: Covers from a central air conditioner units were removed from St. Francis Cabrini School at 10 Goble Court in Falls.  The loss and damage is valued at $2,500.
  • Overnight, June 24: A central air conditioner unit from the rear of the Remax Reality building at 120 Trenton Road. The unit is valued at $5,000.

Falls Lt. Hank Ward said he assumes the recent thefts are related.
