A 21-year-old Philadelphia woman apparently needs some new friends.

According to state police, friends of the 21 year old dropped her off along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bristol Township, not far from the Delaware Valley interchange, around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

The woman was struck by a car shortly after and crawled off the busy highway and fell asleep near the shoulder, police said.
The injured woman was discovered around 9 a.m. on the westbound side and transported by medics to a nearby hospital to be treated for a broken leg.
Police did not say whether they have spoken to the woman’s friends or the driver of the striking vehicle.
