Woman Stabbed in Back by Drunk Man, Cops Say

David Zorger, 49, of Bristol Township, was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, possessing an instrument of crime and harassment.

According to police, officers responded to Copperbeech Lane for a reported stabbing following a domestic incident at 9 p.m. on Sunday.

The arriving officer found a woman who suffered a knife wound to her back and was bleeding, court papers say.

The woman, whose relationship to Zorger is unclear, said Zorger came home under the influence on alcohol and was verbally abusive. At one point, he sprayed her with a hose, forcing her to go in the house to change, according to police.

As the woman was sitting on the toilet in the bathroom, Zorger started yelling at her and stabbed her in the back, court papers say.

The 49-year-old then allegedly stabbed the knife into a door.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, however, her condition is unclear.

Zorger was arraigned and sent to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $50,000 bail.
