Flash Flood Watch Issued Through Friday Morning


The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Mount Holly, New Jersey issued a Flash Flood Watch for the region Thursday afternoon.

The watch expires at 2 a.m. on Friday and covers part of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

According to the NWS, the threat of rain and thunderstorms will linger from Thursday afternoon into Friday.

The NWS warns thunderstorms could bring rainfall of 1.5 inches an hour to the area, adding that pockets of flooding could result.

Officials warn the public to be alert for flooding and not to drive through water-covered roads.
