The mother of 56-year-old Kenneth Luchsinger was too distraught to talk to police at first, but the story she told them the next day is disturbing.

Police were called Saturday to Gary Drive in Bristol Township for a report of a domestic violence incident that happened early that morning. Officer Thomas Van Winkle arrived and spoke with the Luchsinger’s elderly mother and her niece.

The mother of Luchsinger was too upset to talk. Van Winkle passed along information on abuse resources and asked them to call back when she was ready to talk, according to court papers.
The next day, Van Winkle was called back by the two women and he responded to talk to them.
Luchsinger’s mother said, according to court papers, her home’s alarm system and the sound of the back door opening and closing woke her up at 3:00 a.m.

The elderly woman went into her kitchen and saw Luchsinger wiping down the counter top, police said.
“Why don’t you ever clean?” Luchsinger allegedly asked her. He responded, “So I will clean it myself.”

The 56-year-old was yelling and cursing at his mother, police said.
“You know I am just like my father and you hate me,” Luchsinger is quoted as saying in court papers.
Police then allege Luchsinger then pushed his mother and pulled her to the kitchen floor, kept her there and would not allow her to get up for about 30 minutes.

Luchsinger told his mother he didn’t care how long it took, but he would “get his answers,” Van Winkle wrote in court papers.
At one point, Luchsinger grabbed a pair of dirty socks, police said. He then pulled his mother’s hair and “forcefully shoved the dirty socks into her mouth” at least four times, according to court papers.

Luchsinger’s mother told police she was able to remove the socks from her bruised and cut mouth. She then grabbed her walker and went to her room, court papers say.
According to county court records, Luchsinger entered a plea of no contest in a 2010 simple assault case and plead guilty to disorderly conduct and fighting case in 2011. Both cases happened in Bristol Township. He served some time behind bars and probation.
