A man with a handgun robbed a woman of her purse Saturday night.

The armed robbery happened at 11:43 p.m. at the Rock Springs Apartments in the Morrisville section of Falls Township, police said.

The victim said she had parked her car by the C building when the suspect got out of a newer model sedan and approached her with a handgun pointed at her, according to police. He reportedly told her to turn over her purse.
The suspect made off with the purse and got in the passenger seat of a waiting black or dark blue, four-door sedan, police said.
The suspect was described as a stocky black male who was approximately 5-foot-10 and had a black beard and mustache. He possibly wore a black hoodie with baseball cap and dark clothing, according to a police press release.
