Service men and woman from the Army, Marine, Navy and Air Force will be taking part in the training, military officials said. The test firing will end by 11 p.m.

“This training is essential and helps to ensure the readiness of America’s fighting force. Residents may hear more noise than usual coming from the ranges and may experience possible ground shaking due to the training. It is important to note that noise from the ranges may travel farther during overcast weather conditions,” according from a statement from the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst press office.

The sound of explosions from training exercises at the base is often heard by residents in the Levittown area despite the base being about 25 miles away.
