$15K in Damage Caused to Cell Tower

A costly theft was reported to Falls Township police on Wednesday morning.

According to police, about 200 feet of copper wire was taken from a cell phone tower on Stony Hill Road in Falls Township recently.

The suspect(s) cut through the fence of the property, opened a power panel and stole the copper wiring from inside, police said.

Between the damage and the cost of the copper, the theft will cost the owner of the tower more than $15,000, according to police.
