Flood Warning for Neshaminy Creek Issued


A flood warning for the Neshaminy Creek in Lower Bucks County was issued Wednesday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, “moderate” flooding is foretasted along the creek. The water is expected to rise above the flood stage and reach around 11.7 feet sometime early Thursday.

As of 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, the Neshaminy Creek was at 7.5 feet, which is near the 9 foot flood stage.

The water is expected to recede and fall below flood stage by Thursday afternoon, according to forecasts.

Local officials have told LevittownNow.com they are monitoring the creek and its water levels.

No flood was seen along the creek as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.
