Car Slams Into Packed Deli in Penndel

A car slammed into the front door and window of Frey’s Deli and Pizza in Penndel on Tuesday.

Chief of Police Joseph Sciscio said a driver rammed the front of the West Lincoln Highway deli around 12:30 p.m. He said the crash was caused by “operator confusion.”

No injuries were reported. At the time of the crash, the small eatery was packed with about 20 people, the chief said.

The damage to the building was not severe enough to close the busy deli.
