The man was driving his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle west on Brownsville road near the Neshaminy Creek bridge when the crash happened around 5 p.m. The motorcycle fell and the 54-year-old man slid into the front on an oncoming car. The driver saw the man go down and was coming to a stop, police said.

The motorcycle was being driven by the 54-year-old man to a repair shop and a friend was following, said Sgt. Michael Lubold. He added the tire likely blew out but the department is planning to examine the motorcycle.
The 54-year-old was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was transported to St. Mary Medical Center with a punctured lung, skull fractures, fractured ribs and other injuries. Lubold said the man is expected to survive.
Two of township’s accident investigators were called in and responded to the scene following the crash.
