About 80 faithful Christians carried a wooden cross through the streets of Langhorne this weekend in symbolic worship of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ some 2014 years ago.

The Stations of the Cross began around noon under beautiful sunshine at a church on E. Maple Avenue. It wound its way through town, stopping at about a half dozen churches along the way.

At each stop the minister or priest gave a short sermon about Jesus Christ and the gift of eternal life promised by his resurrection.

The participating churches included: Langhorne Presbyterian, St. James Episcopal, Langhorne United Methodist, Our Lady of Grace, and several others.
