On Tuesday evening at the Falls Township Municipal Building, the Board of Supervisors voted to approve the application for waiver of land development for a new Planet Fitness at the border of Morrisville and Falls Township.
Landcore Engineering prepared the plan to divide the existing and empty Sears Hardware Store situated in the Pennsbury Plaza Shopping Center into a 22,000 square foot area for Planet Fintess and a 19,000 square foot area which will be split fairly evenly for two unknown and undecided retailers.

The Sears Hardware building along Plaza Boulevard will experience no exterior changes except a new building facade and handicap parking striping to be in accordance to new ADA standards.
Although the board originally had some concerns about traffic, and parking, they came to the conclusion that the traffic issues seem to occur along the Morrisville side not the side where the new Planet Fitness would be located. All board members with the exception of Jeffrey Rocco agreed to approve the application for waiver of land development. Rocco stated he would be more comfortable with the idea if Landcore placed planting beds within the parking lot to help assure proper traffic flow.
What do you think of the location of the new Planet Fitness?
