The driver of the blue car was reported to have serious injuries and transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown after firefighters cut them out of the blue sedan. No word as of 10:30 a.m. on whether the driver of the concrete truck was injured.

According to witnesses and scanner reports, the concrete truck was removed so firefighters could begin work to cut the driver of the car free. A short time later, the driver was put on a stretcher and placed in the back on an ambulance.

A school bus was parked nearby the crash but it was not clear if that vehicle was involved.
