The male resident suffered smoke inhalation and was alerted to the fire by a working smoke detector, Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames and the damage was contained to the back closet and surrounding area, the fire marshal told LevittownNow.com. He added the home remains habitable following the blaze.

Crews from the Falls Township and William Penn fire companies assisted Fairless Hills Fire Company members at the scene.
