Two Levittown men are accused of performing unwanted sex acts on a woman recently inside a Falls Township motel room after a night of partying.

  • Shawn Jones, 43, of Bristol Township, was charged Thursday with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, sexual assault, indecent assault and related offenses.
  • George Brooks, 45, of Middletown, was charged Friday night with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, sexual assault and two counts of indecent assault.

According to Falls police, officers were dispatched Saturday, March 29 at 6:32 a.m. for a woman who reported she was raped in a room at the Country House Motel on Lincoln Highway in the Morrisville section of the township.

The woman said she met with Jones, a platonic friend of five years, Friday night at a bar on Veterans Highway in Middletown and he soon invited Brooks. The three stayed until closing time at the bar and then Brooks drove to a home and Jones purchased cocaine, according to court papers.

After the drug deal and a stop at a local convenience store for food and cigarettes, Brooks drove the three to the motel and they got a room, police said.

Inside the room, the three reportedly used the cocaine and drank alcohol.

Things turned bad, police say, when one of the men turned on a channel which “depicted a graphic pornographic movie.”

“A short time later, Jones walked over and turned the room’s lights off after which he pushed the victim down on the bed as he removed his clothing,” court papers filed by police read.

The woman was then sexually assaulted and raped, according to the account she gave to police. The victim told police she told Jones no and questioned why he was engaging in unwanted sexual contact with her, court papers say. Both men were said to have been involved in the incident.

The assault ended after about 15 to 30 minutes, the woman told police. Both men reportedly allowed her to get up from the bed and go to the bathroom following the incident.

The woman stayed in the bathroom until the men left, police said. They added she said she sat on the toilet because she was fearful to reenter the bedroom.

Once the two left, the woman called 9-1-1.

A medical professional performed a sexual assault kit shortly after to collect “biological evidence.” As of press time, police report the evidence will be tested to get DNA results.

Bucks County Detectives and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office had the victim engage in several phone interactions with Jones between last Wednesday and Sunday. In those conversations, police say Jones said no sexual activity took place between the three. He even continued to reassure her after she mentioned that she cried the entire time, court papers say.

During an interview this week with police, Jones said he did not have sexual or intimate contact with the woman. He added he did not witness Brooks engage in similar behavior with the woman, court papers say.

Detectives questioned Jones Thursday and he said he lied to the woman during the phone conversations and said he believed any sexual contact was consensual, although he observed the victim crying afterwards, police said.

Police wrote in court documents that Jones said he put his penis in the woman’s mouth and licked her. They also wrote Jones said he believed Brooks masturbated but was unsure if anything more happened.

Jones told police Brooks said after the alleged rape that he heard the woman say she was going to call the police as she talked on the phone. In the following days, the two suspects talked about the woman confronting Jones about the incident and if the woman might take further action, according to court papers.

Jones is currently in county prison on 10 percent of $100,000 bail; Brooks is currently locked up in county prison on 10 percent of $250,000 bail.
