Car Crashes Into Fairless Hills IHOP

A car slammed into the front of the IHOP in the Oxford Point Shopping Center in Fairless Hills late Wednesday afternoon.

Three people were transported to the hospital. None of the injuries, which were to the three people in the car, were reported to be serious, Falls Township Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.

The gold Toyota that jumped the curb contained an elderly couple and their son, Dippolito said.

The IHOP will be closed for the evening but remains structurally sound to reopen tomorrow, according to the fire marshal. Before hitting the wall, the car hit an emergency exit.

Trucks from the Fairless Hills and William Penn fire companies were called along with medics and Falls Township police shortly before 5 p.m.

The crash comes two days after a driver plowed into a Middletown doctors’ office.
