“I’m honored to have earned these awards – I work hard on each article that I commit myself to and with these awards, I feel greatly rewarded for that effort. I spent a lot of time working with The Centurion, and it has been fun to work for a newspaper and help produce it (both online and in print). I hope that this is just the beginning to my career in journalism,” said Armstrong.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I have been presented with while working on The Centurion. The individual awards are great, but the fact that we were able to accomplish the feats we did as an organization speaks to our collective passion and love of ย Journalism,” Martin told LevittownNow.com.

Journalism Department Chair Tony Rodgers said: “These awards show that despite the doom and gloom predictions we too often hear about the news business, there are still plenty of young people like Kelly and Erich who are excited about journalism and understand the value of solid reporting and great writing. I couldn’t be more proud of them and all our award winners this year. Over the past five years students in the journalism program at Bucks County Community College have won some 60 awards in the Keystone contest. I think this shows we’re doing something right.”
LevittowNow.com Publisher/Editor Tom Sofield, a graduate of the college’s journalism program, won a Keystone award in 2012.
Other students who won ย for their contributions to The Centurion were Sydney Tasey (General News ); Anthonyย DiMattia,ย Lutherย Anderson, ย Robertย Knuckl (Public Service Enterprise Package); Stephen Godwin Jr. (Feature Story & Sports Story);ย Kelsei Toth (Feature Image); Brian Kelly (Sports and General News.)
