Earlier this month, Middletown resident Gina Kiley announced she is in the race for the Democrat nomination for state representative in the 142nd Assembly District.
Kiley, 33 a life long Bucks County resident and Democrat, works as a litigation attorney and is the vice chair of the Bucks County Bar Association Women Lawyers Division.

Kiley, according to a press release, far-exceeded the statutory requirement of 300 signatures to secure her place on the ballot.
“I think that shows the breadth and depth of Gina’s support,” remarked Harry Arnold, Chair of the 142nd Democratic Assembly District. “She collected signatures from every corner of the district, and, clearly, people would like to see a change in their representation.”
“I am especially grateful to all of the people who helped me complete my nomination petitions,” said Kiley. “That show of support was a little overwhelming, and I am excited to get to work securing this seat for the people.”

Kiley resides in Highland Park in Levittown with. She resides with her husband, Brian, and son, Leo.
Kiley will be taking on Ritchie Webb Sr in the May Democratic Primary, who announced he was running for the seat as a Democrat in January.

The winner of that race will take on incumbent Frank Farry (R-Bucks) in the November election.
Kiley said in a brief interview by phone earlier this month said I feel like I can bring a fresh perspective. With the working class getting smaller and smaller there is a need for jobs to be created.
Kiley said one of her priorities is addressing the state education budget.

“With the cuts made to education by Governor Corbett over the last three years kids are not getting what they need from our schools.” she said.
Kiley earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Communications at West Chester University, and her Juris Doctorate from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Michigan and volunteers with Wills for Heroes, providing estate planning documents to first-responders and their spouses.

The newly re-drawn 142nd district now comprises Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor Borough, Lower Southampton Township, a majority of Middletown Township, (64%), and all of Upper Southampton Township in Bucks County.
