A joint investigation by Penndel and Bristol Township police lead to the arrest of a man accused of downloading and viewing child pornography.
Pedro Blasini, 37, of Bristol Township’s Croydon section, was arrested Friday and arraigned early Sunday morning on charges of dissemination of photos or films of child sex acts, child pornography and criminal use of communication facility. He was remanded to county jail in Doylestown on 10 percent of $50,000 bail.

Penndel Chief of Police Joseph Sciscio, a member of the FBI’s Crimes Against Children Task Force, discovered Blasini downloaded 13 videos of girls between the ages of 9 and 13 engaging in sexual acts, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The videos were downloaded to a home in the 1000 block of Second Avenue in Croydon between February 19 and March 15, police said.
Bristol Township Detective Douglas Slemmer interviewed Blasini at his Croydon home on Friday. Blasini, according to court paperwork, admitted to downloading and viewing child pornography on his computer.
The arrest comes just days after Bristol Township took a Megan’s Law offender off the street on child pornography charges. Earlier this month, Penndel and Middletown police arrested a Bucks County teacher on charges he downloaded child pornography onto his computer in Levittown.
