An issue with aerial electrical equipment led to a power outage for ย approximately 1,500 customers in the Oxford Valley area on Friday, PECO officials said.
PECO spokesperson Greg Smore said the outage occurred around 1:20 p.m. and repair crews responding immediately. As of 3:30 p.m., about 300 customers are still impacted, he said.

Smore said a “broken cross arm” is what caused the outage but expects all customers have full power restored in a couple of hours.
