Women and men alike are invited to share poetry, prose, or songs written by, for, or about women. The free event, sponsored by the Department of Language and Literature, commemorates Women’s History Month.

At the top of each hour, a guest speaker is invited to read a selection from his or her original work. Guest speakers include prize-winning local poets, published faculty, and community leaders.

For instance, adjunct faculty member Stephanie McBride and women from A Women’s Place will read in the 11 a.m. hour. Bucks County Poet Laureate Alexa Gutter will read at noon. Poet and professor Dr. Christopher Bursk and other faculty members will read poems in honor of Pamela Perkins-Frederick, the 1984 Bucks County Poet Laureate who recently passed away, from 1 to 2 p.m.
