A construction worker was taken to St. Mary Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after he was hurt on the job.
The man, whose current condition is not available, was working at the new Langhorne Fire Station on Richardson Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. when a ladder fell and slammed into the back of his head.

Langhorne-Middletown Fire Chief Frank Farry said Deputy Chief and borough Mayor Joe Taylor just happened to be at the site and rendered aid to the injured worker until two ambulances from the Penndel-Middletown Rescue Squad arrived.
The worker was reported to be disoriented and had trouble speaking following the strike to the head, Farry said.
The fire station is located right behind the town’s police station.
