Forecasters are predicting 6-8 inches of snow as precipitation will start Wednesday night the service out of Mt. Holly says with ice accumulations ranging from a thin sheet up to an inch.

With a number of area residents just regaining or still without power, gusts are predicted to be 10-20 m.p.h., which the NWS says will create the potential for more power lines to be downed in the area with winds topping out at 25 m.p.h

Travel is expected to be significantly impacted as snow changes to sleet and rain as Thursday morning approaches.
