Police Plan to Charge Man in Stabbings

Falls Township police plan to charge the man accused of stabbing a mother and daughter before injuring himself Friday night.

Police say the suspect, who was found outside the Pennsbury Woods Apartments with self-inflicted stab wounds to his chest and abdomen, is expected to survive his injuries. He is currently at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown.

Investigation has revealed the violent attacks were “domestic-related,” police said. They added that the two victims lived with the suspect.

The name of the suspect has not been released by officials. A police official told LevittownNow.com the suspect will be transferred to police custody when he is discharged from the hospital sometime Sunday.

According to police, the two women stabbed are expected to also survive. One woman was stabbed 18 times in the head, face and neck, and another woman was stabbed in the neck an unknown amount of times. The two women are at  Capital Health’s Hellene Fuild Hospital in Trenton in critical condition.

Officers were dispatched to the apartments in the 9000 block of New Falls Road around 8:15 p.m. Friday for reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered the victims, police said.

Neighbors milled around as police investigated the incident late Friday night.
