A man already suspected in connection with a New Year’s Day rape was charged Thursday in two additional cases.
Jon Schwegler, 25, of Croydon, was arraigned before District Judge Joanne Kline Thursday morning on three counts of rape, involuntary intercourse, sexual assault and related offenses. He was sent to county jail on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.

Schwegler is accused of knowing all three of the victims. He was also said to be verbally and psychically abusive in the incidents. The rapes reportedly happened between 2009 and 2014.
Police had previously investigated Schwegler in two rape cases. It is not clear as of press time why police did not previously file charges. A detective noted in court papers that the three incidents were similar.
Schwegler told investigators he remembered the victim in a 2010 rape “crying a little bit,” court papers say. He allegedly added that she told him “no” and asked him to “stop it.”

“I really like dominating girls and watching that type of porn,” Schwegler allegedly said during an interview with police.
The affidavit filed Thursday in District Court gives the following accounts:
Schwegler met the first victim a few days prior to the November 2009 rape and partied with her before taking her to his house in Croydon. The two were smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol before ending up at his house. While they were seated on his bed, Schwegler got on the victim “out of nowhere” and forcefully removed her clothes. Despite pleas for him to stop, he put his hand over her mouth and raped her. He called her vulgar names, put his hand around her neck and threatened to “cut her throat and her mother’s throat.” After he finished, he fell asleep on her and slept with a golf club.
The second victim was raped inside a unit at the Millcreek Apartments in Levittown in December 2011. When the victim’s friend left and another person in the apartment went to bed, Schwegler and the woman began to have consensual sex. The sex quickly turned violent with Schwegler slapping her several times. One time was so hard she said she became dizzy. She told him to stop and he threw her to floor and raped her while yelling vulgarities.

Schwegler grabbed the third victim by her hair and sexually assaulted her inside her apartment on New Year’s Day, according to police. He told her he’d burn her apartment and kill her children if she screamed, authorities said.
After Schwegler sexually assaulted the woman by forcing her to perform oral sex on him and penetrating her, he went outside to smoke a cigarette and the woman called police, court records say.
Schwegler initially told police the sex was consensual, however, during a second interview of the suspect he then told police some of the sexual contact was consensual and some wasn’t telling police he screwed up. He also admitted to raping the victim and threatening her children, according to court documents.

It appears the most recent case filed January 4 in District Court was withdrawn and refiled with the charges for the two additional rapes added.
