Two teen boys were expelled for at least a year from Bristol Township’s Harry S. Truman High School for reportedly making a bomb threat.
A freshman and a junior are accused of making a “bomb threat” on November 22, according to district documents. Superintendent Dr. Samuel Lee said criminal citations were also issued against the teens in addition to district reactionary measures.

The school board voted unanimously Tuesday evening to expel the teens for the remainder of the school year. According to a board agenda, both teens will be eligible to return to school next year if they follow through with an alternative program and guidelines laid out by the Student Assistance Program.

District officials released little more on the bomb threat but Lee did say officials reacted “appropriately” to the threat.

An unfounded bomb threat was reported at Truman in January 2013. Carl Sandburg Middle School in Middletown dealt with a similar situation in May. The daughter of a Bucks County judge is awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges she phoned in a bomb threat at Bucks County Community College’s main campus in October.
