A search for a suspect wanted on drug charges ended Friday afternoon in Falls Township’s Fairless Hills section with SWAT officers raiding a motel room.
A man, who has not yet been identified, was arrested in connection with a methamphetamine investigation that Bensalem police were working on, Fred Harran, Bensalem’s public safety director, told LevittownNow.com shortly after the raid. He added that a woman was also discovered with the male suspect, however, he was not sure whether she was connected to the investigation.

The raid at the Ace Motel happened shortly after 2 p.m. Police searching for the suspect confirmed he was in a room at the small motel. Falls Lt. Nelson Whitney said the raid team was composed of several different departments.
“This all came together in the past few hours. It was pretty quick,” Whitney said.
No injuries were reported but medics stood by as the armed contingent took the man and woman into custody.

The officers prepped at the nearby Falls Township police station and then went down the street in a caravan of marked and unmarked vehicles from Bensalem, Bristol Township, Falls, Lower Makefield and Middletown. With full SWAT gear, weapons drawn and masks covering their faces, the officers made their move. Traffic on Lincoln Highway slowed down to observe the police activity, which was over quickly and without incident.
Police were seen focusing attention on one room and a black van. The vehicle was later spotted being towed from the scene.
