Cops Arrest 2 in Connection with Assault, Purse Snatching

Police have two suspects in custody for a robbery and assault of a woman outside of the PNC Bank in Bristol Borough’s Commerce Park shopping area on Thursday.

An official close to the investigation said a woman was attacked and her purse stolen outside of the bank around noon today.

The would-be robber reportedly escaped in Honda van and was later captured with a suspected male accomplice. The two were captured by authorities close to Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School close to Route 413 in Bristol Township, sources say. The name (s) of the suspects have yet to be released by authorities.

The victim of the attack did not suffer serious injuries.

Charges are expected in the case but have yet to be filed as of press time.

Police are said to be investigating whether this robbery is connected to a similar crime at a the Fairless Hills’ Giant Food Store Wednesday night.
