An occupied black GMC Envoy parked outside a gas station in Bristol Township around 2 a.m. Monday caused state police to become suspicious.
According to troopers, they began watching the vehicle at the Hess gas station in the 2900 block of New Falls Road and noticed after 10 minutes it did move. No fuel was purchased. No one exited. It seemed strange.

A gas station attendant told troopers the SUV had been there for 30 minutes and has hardly moved, state police said.
As troopers approached the SUV, it went into reverse and almost hit a cruiser, court papers say.
Police said they were able to get the driver – identified as Dwayne Lee Stancil, 23, of Philadelphia – out of the SUV. They discovered suspected heroin and hypodermic needles on him, a trooper noted in court papers.

A “groggy” and “sleepy” Stancil was arrested without incident, police said.
Troopers found 110 bags of suspected heroin, 15 Xanax pills and three methadone pills in the SUV, court papers say.

A tourniquet was found wrapped around Stancil’s arm when they took him back to the state police barracks in Trevose for processing. The tourniquet is a sign he was about to or just injected drugs, police said.
Stancil was arraigned Monday before the on-call district judge on charges of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver drugs; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sent to Bucks County lockup on 10 percent of $350,000 bail.
