Fitzgerald was arrested in summer for the July 22 attack that left her mother with bruises, scratches, abrasions and swelling.
According to court records, Fitzgerald suddenly grabbed her inside an apartment in the Lakeview Terrace Apartment complex and began screaming “Jehovah down” as she squeezed the woman’s hands.
Despite the woman asking for Fitzgerald to let her go, the 49-year-old gave the woman a bear hug and squeezed “very hard” for several minutes before throwing the woman onto a bed, police said.

Fitzgerald then ordered the woman to open her eyes. When she did, and was gouged in both eyes by Fitzgerald, according to court papers. The woman reportedly told an investigator that when she pleaded with Fitzgerald to stop, she just dug deeper into her eyes.
Once Fitzgerald took her fingers out of the woman’s eyes, she left, police said.
