“Santa! Santa, ย mommy its Santa!” little Gabby, 3, said to her mother running towards ย to the bearded man in red Friday night as he got off a Tullytown fire truck.
The special event organized by Tina Grady and the Tullytown fire company for the two girls, who have experienced a number of changes recently were showered with gifts, love, and Santa last night.ย

The joy of a child with Santa does something for the human spirit that in this instance could not be measured.
Tullytown Fire Chief Rick Johnson said “the company took part because we like to help people in the community. We love doing the little extra things to make things better for people. We were gladย to beย apart of such a wonderful thing.”

The girls, who both enjoy everything surrounding fire departments, beamed with happiness, sitting on Santa’s lap hugging him ever so ย tight as tears from those who made the special night happen ย welled up in eyes all around.

“If I go home with tears in my eyes, they are happy tears,” Olivia told her mom who asked for the focus of the event to be on her girls.
The woman responsible for putting the ball in motion for the surprise, Grady was not available for comment at post time, however the mother of the girls thanked her, the fire company and all those that came out to support them.

Olivia and Gabriela ย will now have ย gifts to open on Christmas morning thanks to a community that cares.
