Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol will be holding their annual Winter Solstice Event this Saturday
The celebration of the year’s day the soon is in its lowest altitude above the horizon kicks off at 7:30 p.m. The event includes the West Chester University Harp Ensemble, local historian Clarence King, a campfire, hot mulled cider and light refreshments. Attendees can also take a candlelit stroll through the county-owned nature center.

On its website, the nature center notes the campfire is a perfect place to tell stories, or just enjoy other’s company.
The Winter Solstice Event costs $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Pre-register by calling 215-785-1177.
