Dinner time is supposed to be about families sitting together and going over the days events, not so for a Bristol woman and ย her 3-year-old as she was attacked by her boyfriend Tuesday night, police say.

Brian McDuffie, 19, of Levittown, according to police, attacked his girlfriend at her apartment on the 1500 block of Haines Road Tuesday night around 6:30 ย p.m. The alleged attack caused the victim to flee to the Haines Rd 7- Eleven ย so she could ย call authorities.

Police say the victim, prior to their arrival on the scene, said she was assaulted by McDuffie and he had thrown a rock at the windshield of her car as she attempted to escape smashing it and scattering glass into the moving vehicle ย where ย the victim and her child were.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim told police the attack started in her apartment when McDuffie pushed her to the ground, repeatedly kicked her in the ribs and then ย choked her until she lost consciousness.

The victim told police, according to court records, that while being choked by McDuffie, she heard him say “die, bitch, die” as her child watched from a secured car seat on a couch in their apartment.

McDuffie was sent to Bucks County Prison on 10 percent of $25,000 and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for ย January 7 in front of District Court Judge ย Robert L. Wagner Jr.
