There was no clean get away for two men alleged to be involved in am attempted theft from a coin-operated laundry machine at a Levittown apartment building.
In the early morning hours of November 15, Tullytown police were called to the Creek Village Apartments in the Levittown section after a caller reported seeing men go into the basement of a building. According to court documents, the caller also reported hearing sawing coming from the basement.

An officer arrived and checked the basement and found no one. A fellow Tullytown officer then radioed he saw three men jumping over a fence fleeing the apartment complex, police said.
An apartment complex maintenance man showed officers the laundry room and informed them the coin-operated laundry machine appeared to be unsuccessfully entered, police said. According to court papers, the laundry room door appeared to be pried open with a tool and there was evidence someone tried to drill into the coin holder.
In daylight, a crow bar, shoe and power drill were found in the path the three suspect’s used to escape, police said. The drill was found hanging from a tree on the other side of the fence an officer witnessed the men jumping.

It was stated in court papers that coin-operated laundry machines can hold an upwards of $2,500, and the damage to the machine was over $700.
Brandon Galasso, 20, of Tullytown, was arrested the morning of the attempted robbery after an officer spotted him on Pinewood Drive. He was charged with burglary and criminal trespass. The 20-year-old was sent to county jail on bail and released a few days later on his own recognizance. Last week, Christopher Romano, 19 of Falls, was arraigned on charges of conspiracy to commit burglary and related offenses. He was released on unsecured bail. Police say the 19-year-old admitted to being the lookout in the incident. The third suspect did not appear to be in custody as of last week, according to court papers.
