
The National Weather Service Mount Holly office upped snow total predictions in advance of Sunday’s winter storm.
Hours after a Winter Weather Advisory was issued, the National Weather Service adjusted snow totals. According to a prediction map, between one to two inches is to be expected during the beginning portion of the storm. Weather spotters in Delaware were already reporting two inches of snow as of noon.

The Winter Weather advisory has been issued for the region until 3 a.m. Monday.

Temperatures around the freezing point could create travel hazards during the storm, according to a statement issued along with the advisory.

A forecast calls for snow until evening and then a changeover to rain. The rain will end during the day Monday as temperatures top out near 50 degrees.
Long-range forecasts call for more snow chances over the next week.
