The blame for it all, says the National Weather Service, is surly blast of arctic air. However, “an influx of warmer air will result in a complete changeover to rain as the surface low approaches. Widespread moderate to heavy rain is likely from Tuesday night into Wednesday, and this will likely cause travel issues for Thanksgiving travelers, says the weather service.ย Even if the system fails to deliver heavy snow, fierce winds could stymie air travel,” forecasters said.

For our area NWS, as of Monday, is predicting torrential rain fall including thunderstorms embedded within the angry blast of wintry weather.

The weather system has already dumped up to a foot of snow in the mountain regions of Utah and Colorado, and has claimed 13 lives, NBC 10ย Philadelphia reports.
