A natural gas power generator will be installed at the Lower Bucks Government Services Center in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.
Levittown-based Kiss Electric was chosen as the contractor to do the work. The project was approved 2-1 by the Bucks County Commissioners at last week’s meeting.

The generator and installation will cost $39,105 and is being paid for through a state grant.
Bucks County Health Director David Damsker told the commissioners grant for the generator will help keep medications and immunizations stored at the facility at the proper temperature. He added that the number of immunizations stored in the building are in the thousands.
The generator is expected to also provide electric service to the conference room, which is used by all departments.

The vote on the project was previously tabled. Commissioner Diane Marseglia was the line dissenting vote and said she wanted some further information before casting her support.
