
With his powerful voice, Pennsbury graduate Matthew Schuler performed Miley Cyrus’ hit power ballad “Wrecking Ball” on Tuesday night’s edition of NBC’s “The Voice.”
The 20-year-old’s coach on the show, Christina Aguilera, had praise for Schuler’s performance and asked America to vote him on.

“I just hate how much I love you dude,” judge Cee-Lo Green said. Adam Levin agreed and said how envious the other three judges were that Schuler was on Aguilera’s team.
Aguilera said Schuler has brought “charisma” to the show.
The voting results will be revealed Thursday starting at 8 p.m. on a special edition of the hit NBC show.

The 20-year-old Lower Makefield resident made show history for the quickest time that all four judges hit their buttons. A hit of the button means they wanted Schuler on their team during his cover of Young the Giant’s 2011 hit single “Cough Syrup.” He is now in the top 20 contestants this season.
